AUCHZürich Oerlikon Free trial class

Dance like nobody's Swiss.

AUCH is German for also. It's also a dance and art studio in Oerlikon, where open level actually means open level.

Friesstrasse 34, 8050 Zürich 5 min from Bhf Oerlikon 33 classes a week First class free

Embarrassment runs adult bodies more than anyone admits. Class is where you put it down.

AUCH began with a few dancers, one rehearsal room in Oerlikon and Anya's idea that a dance studio could be much more than a place to learn choreography. As more people joined, classes turned into a community and the need for a space of its own became impossible to ignore. Today, AUCH lives in Zürich, created for movement, art, experiments and people finding each other.

Inclusivity first

Not a slogan on a wall. Teachers who explain what they are doing instead of assuming you already know, and a room where nobody is expected to have done this before.

Open level is real

When a class says “open level”, it is designed to work for a first-timer and a professional in the same room. Nobody gets parked at the back to copy the row in front.

Art is work

Teachers are paid a fixed fee per class, not per head. Their income doesn't depend on filling the room, so the teaching doesn't have to be watered down just to keep people coming back.

Come as you are

No uniform, no dress code, no mirror-first culture. Wear whatever you can move and sweat in. Bodies of every size, age and passport are already here.
